    Broadway at the Crown Theatre Camp

    Acting Performance Camps for students age 8-16 offer an exciting experience focused on acting, choreography, music and script work. Campers rotate to an acting, movement and music class each day. Students rehearse with their classmates throughout the week culminating with a performance of FAME JR. for family and friends.  All instructors are first-aid certified and fully background checked. Campers will be selected through an application process. Check www.gilberttheater.com for details. Cost is $350.00, two-week session. Enrollment is limited — apply now!

    Camp dates:
    July 8-12 and 15-19
    Monday-Friday 9:30 am-3:30 pm.

    Performances:
    Friday the 19th at 7 pm and Saturday the 20th at 2 pm.

    About the Play:

    From the hit motion pictures, television series, and international stage success, FAME is nothing short of a global phenomenon.

    Set during the last years of New York City’s celebrated High School for the Performing Arts on 46th Street (1980-1984), FAME JR. is the bittersweet but ultimately inspiring story of a diverse group of students as they commit to four years of grueling artistic and academic work. With candor, humor and insight, the show explores the issues that confront many young people today.

    Every event begins with pyrotechnics, explosions, and flames. Then the excitement really begins when the Top 35 bull riders in the world compete against the fiercest bucking bulls on the planet, providing two hours of thrills and spills guaranteed to keep you on the edge of your seat and your heart pounding.

    The nationally-televised Built Ford Tough Series visits some of the most famous arenas across the United States, including Madison Square Garden in New York and Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas. Each event has a winner, and riders accumulate points towards the ultimate goal, the Professional Bull Riders World Championship.
