TOPS IN BLUE is the premier entertainment showcase of the United States Air Force. Since its inception in 1953, the primary mission of the TOPS IN BLUE program has been to boost the morale and maintain the mental readiness of Airmen and their families stationed throughout the world. They have accomplished this over the years by presenting high-energy shows designed to encourage, inspire, and invoke patriotism in all who see them perform. Tops In Blue annually performs over 120 shows world-wide, at nearly every Air Force installation in the world and in communities across the United States. This year’s tour, entitled “To Dream,” is a celebration of 56 years of TOPS IN BLUE. Revivals of favorite acts from past tours will be featured, along with brand new production numbers created especially for the this year. Known as the Air Force’s Expeditionary Entertainers, TOPS IN BLUE brings a little bit of “home” to troops stationed in Iraq, Afghanistan, and many other remote locations worldwide. In the tradition of Bob Hope, the members of Tops In Blue sacrifice time with their own families during the holidays to perform for members of their military family. The 35 talented Airmen who make up TOPS IN BLUE come from virtually all career fields in the Air Force. Their tour begins with an intensive six-week training program at Lackland Air Force Base, Texas. It consists of over 600 hours of training, working seven days a week as the team develops their skills and talent to create an exciting and vibrant show. They are trained on singing, dancing, and other stage performance skills. They also learn to setup and operate staging and technical equipment. As they serve as Ambassadors for the Air Force, the team receives additional training in physical fitness, protocol, and leadership, all designed to ensure that TOPS IN BLUE reflects the finest qualities of the United States Air Force. After a quick, 14-week ascent to the top, Aldean’s GOLD certified single “Big Green Tractor” spent four weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot Country Songs Chart. Jason’s first-ever live DVD, WIDE OPEN LIVE & MORE, was released August 25. “Big Green Tractor” is off his third studio album “WIDE OPEN,” released in April of this year. This earned him the No. 2 spot on Billboard's Country Albums Chart and the No. 4 position on the all-genre Billboard Top 200 chart. This marks the best opening week of Aldean's career to date and a nearly 10 percent increase in first-week sales since his last release in 2007.

Michael Flatley’s Lord of the Dance Taps Its Way Into Fayetteville’s Crown Center for ONE SHOW ONLY! Earlier this year, cast members Scott Doherty and Michael McHugh (McHugh for the category of dancers under age 18) were crowned world champions at the World Irish Dance Championships. Doherty and McHugh beat out more than 6000 dancers representing five continents over the eight-day competition. The championships took place in Philadelphia, PA, the first time the competitions were hosted outside of Ireland and Scotland in its 39-year history. Flatley, who was in attendance, received an award acknowledging his special achievements in Irish Dance such as producing and choreographing multiple Irish dance shows including Lord of the Dance. “We are so happy for Scott and Michael. Their dedication to Irish dance and exceptional abilities are just some of the reasons they are part of the Lord of the Dance team,” says Flatley. He adds, “I was just ecstatic to see them both crowned as world champions and we are very fortunate to have them as part of our cast.” Doherty and McHugh are in a cast made up of Irish dance phenoms from around the globe. “Each one is a superstar.” Flatley, Lord of the Dance’s creator and artistic director, was the first guest judge to appear on ABC’s hit reality television program “Dancing With The Stars.” In November 2007, he and cast members from Lord of the Dance performed on the show. The thrilled studio audience clapped throughout and gave a standing ovation as Flatley and his hypnotizing dancers completed the routine. “That kind of reaction speaks directly to the quality of dancers who I have had the privilege to bring to the stage,” Flatley says. “They give of themselves in a way that is unique alone to Irish dancing, stretching a form of dance that has evolved over more than 2,000 years.” The dancers’ average age is 22, and each one has achieved individual recognition as a national or worldwide dance champion. More than 100 million people worldwide have seen Lord of the Dance -- the international Irish dancing extravaganza that has performed sold out shows at theaters, arenas and stadiums in over 67 countries. “Our success demonstrates the hunger people have,” says Flatley, “to wholly submerge themselves into a world where dancers interpret every nuance of classic good versus evil through modern Celtic music.” Lord of the Dance has an ability to connect with the audience and initiate and captivate a new generation.
